Resources Unlimited Human Development Foundation,
501c(3), was founded by Virginia Palmer, Ph.D., in 1996.
The RU programs focus on stress management classes, personal empowerment seminars, environmental education and community service activities. These programs are for healthcare workers, facility professionals, activity directors, seniors and students of all ages. Resources Unlimited Foundation has been conducting personal empowerment programs and leadership trainings in Austin and Los Angeles for the past 25 years. RU Foundation is currently providing a four part series of continuing education courses: “Transforming Stress to Success” courses for the healthcare community.

Mission: Resources Unlimited Human Development Foundation is dedicated to developing/implementing innovative educational programs for facilitators, schools, special groups, under-served communities, non-profit organizations and senior facilities staff.  These courses, classes and events offer transformational information, practical tools and creative activities that promote better emotional health, environmental action and more success in daily life.

Resources Unlimited Foundation has a 30-year history of successful youth, teen and adult development programs conducted in Austin and Los Angeles. As Executive Director of People For Parks, Los Angeles, Virginia Palmer created, implemented successful youth empowerment programs and community gardens in East Los Angeles and South Central areas. Virginia conducted Leadership Trainings for LA County Park directors for four years. She also was a consultant for LA County’s CLASS Parks – Youth Plus. In Austin she initiated such programs as: Arts Aware, You Got the Power, Youth Eco Champions. She is a consultant, contributor to Mother Earth Day and Barton Springs University. In the Spring 2020, RU had scheduled to a new program, “Betty’s Green Books and MrHabitat” to be implemented in Central TX schools. This program is on hold.

RU Foundation New Program: “Betty’s Green Books and MrHabitat”

Bill Oliver, known as MrHabitat for his many performances at schools, parks and festivals and for his wide range of ageless popular and classic songs he plays at senior facilities and home concerts. He has teamed up with Betty X Davis, Virginia’s mother who is 104 years young, for the “Betty’s Green Books and MrHabitat’s Green Songs” presentations in area schools. The tour, sponsored by Sodalis Senior Living Facilities and Resources Unlimited Foundation, provides wonderful books that teach kids about the environment and the eco-teaching entertainment songs by Bill Oliver and eco-education by Virginia Palmer, (DrV). Virginia is on the Board of Directors for Save Our Springs Alliance in Austin. She presents “Barton Springs University 101” at area high schools. Virginia gives her time and energy to Bill Oliver’s Mother Earth Day Festivals at the Springs and his Lady Bird Lake Expeditions. Both events have been produced for Austin elementary and middle school kids for 17 years. Virginia has a long history of establishing partnerships with other organizations both local and national.
